Duncan

Macfadden

Duncan is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was called a prairie sailor by some of his shipmates. He took Bos'n training at Cornwallis following basic training. Duncan left the Navy in 1976.... After half a century, I reconnected with Duncan on November 1st 2015, only a few weeks before the 50th anniversary of Skeena 2/65 graduation. Duncan now lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Gordon

Baker

Gordon was with me on the Radioman TG1 course from January to July 1966 in Esquimalt, British Colombia. We worked together at CFS Newport Corner in the fall of 1966 and boarded at Mrs. Whalen boarding house in Windsor, Nova Scotia. We were both drafted to HMCS Gatineau in January 1967 and we served together onboard this destroyer until I volunteered for submarines in 1968. During that period, we were both tenants at a boarding house at 5667 Kaye Street in Halifax. I lost track of Gordon after I went submarines and I found out a few years ago that Gordon had passed away a long time ago. Gordon was from Hamilton, Ontario.
